Glasswells Win Industry Award for the Third Time
Based throughout East Anglia, Glasswells World of Furniture has won a prestigious industry award for the third year.
Organised and coordinated by AIS (Associated Independent Stores), the highly respected award entitled AIS Member of the Year was awarded to Paul Glasswell, Glasswells Managing Director.
The Award is sought after within the independent retailer industry and winning it again really does prove Glasswells commitment to providing the ultimate products and service from contact with their suppliers right through to after sales service to their much valued customers.
Judged by Glasswell’s suppliers through some quite in depth questioning, each area of service provided by Glasswells was rated and scored. From an AIS membership of 108, Glasswells proved again that their service extends beyond that of others. Particular areas scored were the stores ability to display products in an attractive and helpful way, overall presentation, the helpfulness and professionalism of staff as well as their knowledge of the products they sell, plus the quality of their after sales service. In addition, Glasswell’s processes where highly scored for their administration and the care they take when handling their products, even down to how well they are stored in their Kempson Way storage and distribution centre.

Glasswells’ flagship store is in Bury St. Edmunds and offers a vast range of products extending from living and dining room furnishings, curtains and flooring through to beds, bedroom furniture, linens and home office furniture, they also have a gift shop, kitchenware department and restaurant. Additional stores are located in Ipswich, Haverhill and Saffron Walden.
