A Bunch of Good Sports at Glasswells
There was a sporting theme throughout the Glasswells World of Furniture store in Bury St. Edmunds last Friday as staff paraded in themed fancy dress all for Children in Need. This was just one of the activities run by the store in order to raise as much money as possible the for charity. Each member of staff paid for the privilege or dressing up or were fined double if they did not par-take. In addition they had collection buckets around the store and special cakes that were sold in the restaurant and at their recent warehouse sale with all takings also donated. |
Pippa King, a member of the accounts team at Glasswells, organised all the activities and attended the live TV broadcast of the Children in Need programme at their studio in London to show her support on the company’s behalf.
Pippa comments, “It is great that every year the entire Glasswell World of Furniture team pull together for a good cause and we are delighted to have raised over £1,100.00 this year. Thank you to all who participated”
