Diamond Day at Glasswells
Glasswells World of Furniture saw the finale of their huge win a diamond competition last Saturday by announcing the lucky winner during a day of fun and entertainment. The competition has been held throughout the year as part of their 60th anniversary celebrations and every visitor to their stores, located in Bury St. Edmunds, Ipswich, Haverhill and Saffron Walden, had the chance of winning the amazing diamond ring, worth a staggering £2,500. |
With entertainment from SGR FM and their Black Thunder team, magicians and face painters, the day was filled with fun and there were plenty of give-aways for children. 100 lucky finalists had already been drawn from the competition hat and were invited along to the World of Furniture to hear the big announcement. As the final draw approached at 2.30pm the atmosphere deepened. Leslie Glasswell, Glasswells’ Chairman and current Managing Director, Paul Glasswells’ father, took to the stage and said a few words and without further delay he pulled the winner from the hat and announced it live on SGR FM. The lucky winner is Syd Peddlar. Many congratulations from all at Glasswells.

Glasswells 60th anniversary celebrations will be continuing until the year-end, with many price reductions and special offers. Another special promotion is coming up at the beginning of December where they will be replicating a promotion they first ran in 1954, with giveaways to local pensioners.
