Pacers & Glasswells Race Is Open To All...
The annual St Edmunds Pacers’ race, sponsored by Glasswells World of Furniture, is set to kick off 2nd June.
The location is the pretty Nowton Park in Bury St. Edmunds and there is truly something for everyone. As well as being part of a programme of 5-mile races across East Anglia for the Pacers, there is a short children’s fun run starting at 7.00pm followed by races for juniors, men, women, seniors, veterans and teams. Paul Glasswell, Glasswell’s managing director, will be standing by to start each race and everyone who finishes will receive a commemorative Pacers and Glasswells T-shirt or medal.
To enter all you need do is turn up at Nowton Park from 6.00pm tonight and register, for a small fee, to gain your official race number. Nowton is the perfect location with plenty of on-site parking, toilets, refreshments and a beer tent, for a well-deserved celebratory drink after the race.
Paul Glasswell comments, “This is a fun event that Glasswells have been sponsoring for the past 8 years. It is really good to see people of all ages give the race a go, from beginners through to regular runners and member of the Pacers. Whatever your ability, from my experience, there is one really valuable thing that all the runners can count on and that is huge support and cheers from all the spectators that also come along on the night. Good luck everyone!”
